Home of Mahnaz and Shahrooz, Cole Harbour
This first gathering focussed on Books 1 and 7 as well as studying the most recent message from the Universal House of Justice of October 20, 2008.
The knowledge, insight and skill acquired during the Study Circle process advances the participants to a greater awareness of the given subject; not necessarily a greater understanding. A genuine exploration of individual view and expression broadens everyone’s scope of understanding. The learning that takes place involves consistent action that results in systematically produces positive results.
Truly eye-opening understanding begins after we’ve completed the sequence of courses and begin to facilitate a study circle. This action, done in the context of service, takes on a much greater significance.
A gleaning of the consultations included topics such as, ‘temporary’ and ‘permanent’ motivations. Some temporary reasons for attending a study circle would be friendship, food, loneliness or an aspect of one’s social activities; however the permanent motivations would be the direct result of the Holy Word.
